European Radiology Abdomen: A New Home for Abdominal Imaging

The ESUR Board is proud to announce the launch of European Radiology Abdomen, a new spin-off publication within the European Radiology journal family, established in collaboration with the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) and the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR).

The journal is designed to provide a dedicated platform for high-quality research and innovation in genitourinary and gastrointestinal imaging, translating high-level scientific research into actionable clinical insights for radiologists. Moreover, this initiative will further strengthen and deepen the close collaboration between ESUR and ESR.

The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Valérie Vilgrain (Paris, France), supported by an expert editorial team representing the core subspecialties: Athina C. Tsili (Ioannina, Greece), Doenja Lambregts (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), and Giorgio Brembilla (Milan, Italy).

We warmly encourage all ESUR members and colleagues to support our new journal by submitting their highest-quality work. The journal welcomes original articles, reviews, letters to the editor, and practice-oriented educational content. By sharing your expertise and diverse perspectives, you will help establish a premier publication that reflects the excellence and clinical relevance of abdominal radiology on an international scale.

European Radiology Abdomen is a Gold Open Access journal published by Springer, the ESR’s long-standing publishing partner. This model is intended to drive the highest possible impact, citation, and dissemination of abdominal imaging knowledge.
